The Future of Nursing - NYS Action Coalition, a non-partisan entity, was established by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in collaboration with AARP, as one of five pilot states, to implement the recommendations set forth in the National Institute of Medicine's October 2010 Report "The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health." The Foundation of NYS Nurses is the headquarters of the coalition and is responsible for managing donations made to support its work.
