Shared Goals:
The St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing and

the Center for Public Education

The St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing has a long and distinguished heritage characterized by its commitment to excellence in patient-centered care and to exceptional quality care. St. Luke’s Alumnae are justifiably proud of their history of longstanding commitment to patients and patient-centered care and their contribution to the health and wellbeing of individuals and their families and to the nursing profession itself. St. Luke’s Alumnae’s collective support for, and commitment to, patient care and service are extraordinary and deserve enduring recognition.

The Foundation’s Center for Public Education is dedicated to improving health, health consciousness and public understanding and utilization of the services of professional nurses. The Center’s primary goals are to monitor the public's perceptions of and responses to professional nursing services and promote direct public-nursing interaction through health education programs provided by professional nurses. The Center for Public Education, like the Alumnae Association of St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing, has a proud history of strong commitment to the consumers of nursing and health care.

The St. Luke’s Alumnae Association and the Foundation’s Center for Public Education share a mutual vision of improvement of the health and wellbeing of the public. This shared vision will continue because of the Alumnae Association's endowment of the Center for Public Education.
