Overview of Foundation Awards
The Board of Trustees of the Foundation of New York State Nurses is honored to present awards to nurses who have made significant contributions to the profession.
Veronica M. Driscoll Award
The Driscoll Award is given annually from the Driscoll Family to an individual who stands out through her dedication and determination in supporting the Foundation of New York State Nurses in their efforts to increase public knowledge and understanding of nursing, the nursing profession, and the arts and sciences on which human health depends. The Driscoll Award seeks to recognize those individuals who epitomize the standards and values for which Veronica M. Driscoll stood. Click here for additional information.
Nursing Research Awards
Each year the Foundation Central New York Nurses Center for Nursing Research Planning Committee accepts nominations for:
The Planning Committee reviews the applications and forwards its recommendations to the Board of Trustees for final approval. The awards are presented at an event (often a dinner) where friends, family, and colleagues gather to honor the recipients. For additional information, click on the specific award.
Research Fellows
The Foundation of New York State Nurses Central New York Nurses Center for Nursing Research Planning Committee (FCNRPC) offers the Nursing Research Fellowship program through sponsorship from the New York State Nurses Association and The Foundation of New York State Nurses. The goals of the program are to increase members’ understanding of their professional association and to prepare them for involvement in research activities of the association.
